Diodes Corporation launches a 300mA output LDO with normal power indication and compliant with automotive specifications, supporting battery power outage load points

Diodes Corporation (Nasdaq: DIOD) has expanded its portfolio of Low Differential Pressure (LDO) regulators that meet automotive specifications and launched two product lines. The AP7583AQ and AP7583Q series both have a maximum output current of 300mA and a voltage difference of 320mV, making these LDOs very suitable for battery connected automotive product applications. This product supports body control modules, in car network transceivers, electric vehicle (EV) battery management systems, external lighting infrastructure, and microelectronic hardware used in instrument panels.

Each AP7583AQ series device has a power good indicator output, which is an important difference in this product. It can achieve continuous power supply monitoring, also provide fault reporting function, and help with power switch timing.


The AP7583AQ and AP7583Q products have fixed output voltage versions (3.3V and 5V) and adjustable output versions, both supporting wide input voltages ranging from 3V to 42V. The combination of wide input voltage and low voltage difference enables these LDO products to support cold start and handle sudden load drops.


Ultra low static current is another key feature of the AP7583AQ and AP7583Q series products. This product is only 3 µ A under light load, which allows them to provide optimized power supply for "always on" components such as micro control units (MCUs) and CAN transceivers in standby systems.


All AP7583AQ and AP7583Q series devices comply with the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 specification, are manufactured by IATF 16949 certified facilities, and support PPAP documents. Both LDO series are packaged in a 6-pin W-DFN2020 package. In addition, the AP7583AQ series also offers 8-pin MSOP and 4-pin TO252 packaging formats.
