According to CCTV news, the latest data of the State Administration of Taxation shows that from January to July this year, new energy vehicles were exempted from vehicle purchase tax of 40.68 billion yuan, an increase of 108.5% over the same period of last year, of which 7.17 billion yuan was exempted from vehicle purchase tax in July, an increase of 119.1% over the same period of last year.

The executive meeting of the State Council previously decided to extend the policy of exemption from vehicle purchase tax to the end of next year and continue to provide support for exemption from vehicle and vessel tax, consumption tax, right of way and license plate. It is reported that this is conducive to promoting the consumption of new energy vehicles and promoting green and low-carbon development.

According to the data of China Automobile Association, in July, the production and sales of automobiles were 2.455 million and 2.42 million respectively, down 1.8% and 3.3% month on month respectively, up 31.5% and 29.7% year on year respectively. From January to July, China's automobile production and sales were 14.571 million and 14.477 million respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 0.8% and a year-on-year decrease of 2%.

In addition, in July, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 617000 and 593000 respectively, an increase of 1.2 times year-on-year. From January to July, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 3.279 million and 3.194 million respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 1.2 times.
