Diodes introduced a third-order power switch with settable voltage conversion rate control, which can simplify and enhance the power rail management in SSDs

      Diodes (Nasdaq: DIOD) introduced a new multi-function single channel high side power switch. The AP22980 can choose three different voltage conversion rates, so it can handle a wider range of capacitive loads, while maintaining low inrush current to ensure system stability.        AP22980 has N-channel MOSFET and built-in charge pump. Rds (ON) is very low, only 5.1m Ω. Therefore, high current load applications can reach 6A and significantly reduce voltage drop and power loss. This component has an independent bias (VBIAS) pin, so the minimum input voltage supported is greatly reduced, thus expanding the input voltage range (from 0.285V to 5.5V) and increasing application flexibility.

The operating temperature range of this device is - 40 ° C to 105 ° C. When the interface temperature exceeds 150 ° C, the overheating protection mechanism will be triggered.
