LED red brake light and tail light
Since 1992, LED red light has been widely used in brake and tail lights, and due to its energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and long service life characteristics, light-emitting diode LED (LightEmitting Diode) as a headlight for lighting technology has gradually received attention from car manufacturers.
LED lighting system
After years of research and development, Audi has developed a new LED lighting system, initially equipped with the 2004 Audi A8W12, followed by the 2006 Audi S6, Audi R8, and Audi A5/S5 all equipped with this technology.
And Audi was also the first to use an LED lighting system for the headlights, each consisting of 54 LED lights, which can provide the brightest light source but have the lowest power consumption. Although the brightness is still not as high as HID xenon headlights, the technology that can effectively reduce factory costs will be increasingly valued. New cars do not need to change bulbs from the factory until they are scrapped.
The Audi A8 will first be equipped with the latest LED lighting system, and then the Audi Q7V12TDI will also begin to be equipped with this latest technology. This technology will gradually replace HID xenon headlights as the mainstream lighting for the next generation after the cost of high-power LED decreases and the specifications become popular in the future.
