Ann Meng, President and CEO of Qualcomm: cars have become networked computers on wheels, and automobile companies have also become technology companies
Last night, Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm, posted a microblog saying, "cars have become networked computers on wheels, and automobile companies have also become technology companies." Anmeng said that with the continuous increase of digital components in automobiles, Qualcomm saw the opportunity to build a digital chassis.
Anmeng said:
Qualcomm's contribution to the automotive industry is defined by our ability to intelligently connect people with everything and to establish a low-power, high-performance computing platform. With the increasing number of digital components in automobiles, we see the opportunity to build a digital chassis.
At the 5g Innovation Summit of the 2022 global digital economy conference at the end of last month, Meng Pu, chairman of Qualcomm China, said that in February this year, Qualcomm launched snapdragon digital chassis connected vehicle technology, including the car smart link platform, cockpit platform, ADAS and automatic driving platform, and car to cloud service. At present, more than 150 million vehicles worldwide have adopted Qualcomm automotive technology, and more than 25 automobile manufacturers have adopted snapdragon cockpit platform.
On February 28 in Barcelona, Qualcomm brought a new enhanced solution for its "digital chassis". In order to further improve snapdragon's digital chassis connected vehicle platform, Qualcomm technologies introduced the new feature of "connect as a service" to snapdragon's cloud services. Through new technical cooperation, it supports fast and available connectivity, integrated analysis and cloud and terminal oriented developer environment, and provides new technical features, contents and services for the global market.
