NOVOSENSE announced the launch of a new vehicle specification I ² C GPIO expansion chip NCA9539-Q1 can be accessed through I ² C expands 16 GPIO channels, which are widely applicable to modules such as automobile cabin entertainment system, automobile auxiliary driving system, body electronics, and new energy vehicle powertrain. The working temperature can reach 125 degrees, and it can provide stronger anti-interference capability in the automotive field with strict requirements. At the same time, it can effectively reduce costs, and solve the two-way demand of both cost and performance for customers.

More concise scheme

NCA9539-Q1 is a car level 24 pin CMOS device, providing 16 bit universal parallel I ² C bus number input/output GPIO expansion function. It provides a concise solution for the additional I/O port requirements of power switches, sensors, buttons, LEDs, fans and other applications in automotive electronics.

More flexible configuration

NCA9539-Q1 consists of two 8-bit configurations (input or output selection): input, output and polarity reversal (active high or active low) registers.

By writing the I/O configuration bit, the system host can enable I/O as input or output. Each input or output data is saved in the corresponding input or output register. The polarity of the read register can be reversed with the polarity reversal register. The system host can read all registers.

When any input state is different from its corresponding input port register state, NCA9539-Q1 drain open circuit interrupt output will be activated and indicate to the system master that the output state has changed. Power on reset or RESET pin reset will set the register to its default value and initialize the device state machine. Two hardware pins (A0, A1) change the fixed I ² C bus address and allows up to 4 devices to share the same I ² C bus.
